The improvement of education depends on what each of us does every day – in the classroom, in the principal’s office, in the municipality, at the regional education department, in the ministry, in the National Assembly…
One of the first questions we set out to explore was: what defines a transformative teacher – one who can change students’ lives for the better, compensate for the disadvantages of their home environment, and help them envision a future different from the one dictated by their background.

Program Participants of “Teach For Bulgaria”
We at Teach for Bulgaria believe that a positive change that affects all students in Bulgarian education is only possible if all of us in the system work together, building on our perspectives and experiences. Since 2010, we have been continuously building a strong community of current participants, program alumni, and various partners from all sectors. We are convinced that this is the way to introduce sustainable policies and practices for improving education for every child in Bulgaria.
