Dr. Elena Kircheva-Schmidt is a researcher with extensive experience in impact evaluations of a variety of organizations, programs and activities related to education and public health. Dr. Schmidt studied and made her career in the United States. She holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education and Leadership from Temple University, an M.A. in Political Science from Penn State University, and a B.A. in International Relations and History from Colgate University. Currently, she works as the Program Manager of Evaluation at Apex Evaluation. Dr. Schmidt was also part of the research teams that conducted two separate external impact evaluations of the work of Teach for Bulgaria.

I have witnessed the dedication and professionalism with which the entire team has worked to achieve the goals set, with which I am well acquainted as an expert in a number of impact evaluations of their programs over the past nearly 10 years,” says Dr. Schmidt.
