Gergana Koleva has been part of the “Teach For Bulgaria” team since 2024 as a member of the “Development and Fundraising” team. She is responsible for attracting new donors, developing fundraising campaigns, as well as ensuring effective communication, and expanding the donor network.

After completing her bachelor’s degree, she applied for the “A New Way to Teaching” program and joined “Teach For Bulgaria” in 2017. She gained teaching experience and was part of the “Model Schools” program at “Teach For Bulgaria,” as well as a project leader under the “Erasmus” program. This experience and her projects led her to her new role.

“Education needs support not only for students but also for teachers who work on the ground every day. To achieve sustainable change, society must unite its efforts and look in the same direction – ensuring access to quality education for all,” shares Gergana.

She holds a degree in “Construction Management and Architectural Technology” from KEA, Copenhagen, and has a postgraduate teaching qualification in English from Veliko Tarnovo University.
