Jaklin is the Head of Teacher Development at Teach for Bulgaria, taking care of the development of leadership skills and upgrading the effective teaching skills of participants in A New Way to Teaching Program. She is responsible for the overall experience and professional development of participants and the efficiency of the program. In the 2018-2019 period, Jaklin headed the Program Induction team, which supports and develops teachers from the period of signing a contract to the end of their first year in the program. In the 2016-2018 period, Jaklin was a Teacher Support Manager and between 2014 and 2016 she was Training and Support Coordinator.

Before joining the team Jaklin taught natural sciences at Hristo Botev School 202, Dolni Pasarel, as part of Teach for Bulgaria’s second batch of program teachers (2012-2014).

Jaklin has a Master’s degree in Organic Materials in High Technology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Between 2007 and 2012 she was actively participating in a study group at the Functional Optical Materials Laboratory of Prof. Stoyan Gutsov with the Department of Physics and Chemistry.

Jaklin joined Teach for Bulgaria because, during her university school practice, she met many demotivated students without a desire to develop and with no belief in their own potential due to the lack of teachers to inspire and motivate them.
