
Marian Rankov
Marian has been Head of Education Projects for Teach for Bulgaria’s Learning Together Program since 2021. In this role he is responsible for the overall planning of the program’s annual editions, ensuring transparent and objective evaluation of project proposals and supporting approved projects. Before that he headed Teacher Development in A New Way to Teaching Program between 2020 and 2021, while in 2018-2020 he was Senior Specialist in Induction Training at Teach for Bulgaria and was responsible for organizing the intensive training of participants in the program before they entered school. From 2016 to 2018, he was the organization’s Training and Support Coordinator and directly supported teachers in their work and development. Two years before that he participated in A New Way to Teaching Program and taught students at Lyuben Karavelov School in the town of Koprivshtitsa. He facilitated the afternoon activities of children from grades I to VI and prepared students of grade IV for the forthcoming external evaluation.
He decided to join the team because he believes that, with his experience as a teacher in A New Way to Teaching Program, he has something to contribute to Teach for Bulgaria’s mission of providing equal access to quality education for every child. While working in Koprivshtitsa he organized many events uniting parents, teachers, students and the local community. In 2015 he was a coordinator of the Volunteer Club with the TimeHeroes Platform. In 2012 he taught at William Gladstone School 18, Sofia, under the Success Program.
