Inspirational Leaders Charity Auctionе is the biggest charity event of Teach For Bulgaria. It is organised since 2012 in partnership with the Bulgarian Leaders Business Forum and business sponsors. The guests of the unusual event have the opportunity to bid for spending two hours in the company of famous individuals from the Bulgarian culture, sport, media and other spheres. As allies of the mission of Teach for Bulgaria, the celebrities donate two hours of themselves as leads of corporate events, team buildings, etc.
The main goal of the event is to raise money in support of the teachers in the Teach for Bulgaria program, as well as to unite business leaders and popular personas in the cause for providing equal access to quality education for every child.

Bogomil Balkansky, one of the most successful Bulgarians in the Silicon valley, supported our cause in 2017. Mr. Balkansky organized a matching donations campaign and managed to find 150 donors. He also made a virtual visit to an English teacher’s classroom and talked to her students about his life’s journey at a special discussion on social mobility.
Yavor Atanasov travelled from Paris to Barcelona (1 347 km) by bike and on his own in June of 2017. It took him 10 days, but he did it with the mission to raise funds and support Teach For Bulgaria participants. He got over 420 people involved in his journey and managed to find more than 100 donors in less than a month.
Lidia is a primary teacher at Primary School “St. Cyril and St. Methodius” in Samokov. She is a devoted single mother of one son, loves reading, and does amateur theater. She graduated with a degree in Pedagogy, but started teaching after 17 years of working in accounting. Lidia is one of Teach For Bulgaria’s individual donors who makes regular contributions from her monthly income in order to support Teach For Bulgaria participants.
