The event is the closing conference of the project called \u201cDeveloping Students\u2019 Civic Literacy with Interactive Teaching Methods\u201d which is going to take place on June 20, 2018, at 2 p.m., Central Hotel Sofia, 52 Hristo Botev Blvd. The project is implemented by Teach For Bulgaria with the financial support of Sofia Municipality, as part of the Europe 2018 Program.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers are going to share more about the project implementation and results from their work with over 200 students at 13 schools. Teachers are going to present their approach in working with interactive teaching methods and the projects they completed with their students: Bulgarian and European government simulations, EU institutions research assignments, case studies on the topic of individuals\u2019 rights, and EU-themed interactive quizzes.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the project is to help teachers in Sofia master specific civic education teaching skills \u2013 civic engagement and collaboration with public institutions. The focus of the teacher training is to help them implement interactive teaching methods. The main goal is to improve student motivation and make the connections in the work of local, national, and EU institutions explicit for the students.<\/p>\n<p>The schools which participated in the project are Professional High School of Audio, Video, and Telecommunication \u201cA. S. Popov\u201d, Drita Private School, 18. Secondary School \u201cWilliam Gladstone\u201d, 40. Secondary School \u201cLouis Pasteur\u201d, 51. Secondary School \u201cElisaveta Bagryana\u201d, 61. Primary School \u201cSt. Cyril and St. Methodius\u201d, 81. Secondary School \u201cVictor Hugo\u201d, 97. Secondary School \u201cMiladinov Brothers\u201d, 104.\u00a0Primary School \u201cZahari Stoyanov\u201d, 105 Secondary School \u201cAtanas Dalchev\u201d, 139. Primary School \u201cZahariy Krusha\u201d, 170. Secondary School \u201cVasil Levski\u201d in Novi Iskar, and 202.
