The forum called \u201cWe Want to Go to School!\u201d is organized for the first time in Razgrad by the Regional Management of Education and Teach For Bulgaria<\/i><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The regional forum \u201cWe Want to Go to School!\u201d will bring teachers and principals from the region of Razgrad together. Educators will have the opportunity to exchange best practices for motivating students to attend classes regularly. The event is going to take place on November 6, Wednesday, at 12:30 p.m. at Professional Vocational High School of Economics \u201cRobert Schumann\u201d in Razgrad<\/strong>. Representatives of over 50 schools are going to participate in the regional forum which is organized by the Regional Management of Education, Teach For Bulgaria, teachers, and alumni of Teach For Bulgaria\u2019s leadership and professional development program.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The goal of the forum is to provide educators with a platform to share experience and exchange best practices for motivating students to attend classes regularly – a challenge teachers often share they face. Some of the participants have prepared workshops and the guests will have the opportunity to choose among 6 parallel one-hour sessions for each of the two main parts of the forum.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The topics include: \u201cHow to Create a Learning Environment Where Students Understand What and Why Is Expected of Them\u201d; \u201cHow to Inspire Students to Work Hard by Improving Their Classroom Environment\u201d; \u201cHow to Show Students the Practical Application of What They Have to Learn at School\u201d; \u201cHow to Get Students More Involved in School Culture\u201d; \u201cHow to Work with Parents Effectively\u201d; \u201cHow to Motivate Families to Support Their Children\u2019s Studies\u201d, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe event comes as a result of the Regional Management of Education\u2019s purposeful effort in supporting schools, so that they can constantly increase their efficiency and reach all children. The forum is going to provide us with the space and time to reflect on our notion of \u201cmotivated students\u201d. We are going to think about what motivates children to go to school every day and explore some working practices. We hope that this event is going to initiate many support groups and best practices exchange channels. We also hope that the effect of these future initiatives is going to be visible in the achievements of all students and their active participation Razgrad\u2019s public life,\u201d shared Radostina Boycheva, Regional Development Specialist at Teach For Bulgaria and co-organizer of the forum. <\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

TEACH FOR BULGARIA IN RAZGRAD<\/span><\/h3>\n

Teach For Bulgaria was initiated and generously supported by the America for Bulgaria Foundation. Amylum Bulgaria has been a long-term partner of the organization in the region of Razgrad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Teach For Bulgaria\u2019s mission is to recruit, train, and develop talented and motivated professionals who are committed to work towards positive change in Bulgarian education. The organization has worked with partner schools in the region of Razgrad since 2015. Seven teachers and alumni of Teach For Bulgaria\u2019s leadership and professional development program currently work at schools in the region – in the town of Razgrad and the villages of Ezerche and Dyankovo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Three schools in the region have also been selected to participate in the <\/span>EU project FIERST<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>The main goal of the project is to scale locally generated best practices for inclusive education which have been created, implemented, and tested by innovative teachers and education experts who work with students from vulnerable communities.<\/span> The FIERST partners from the region are <\/span>Primary School \u201cSt. Paisii Hilendarski\u201d in the village of Ezerche, Secondary School \u201cHristo Botev\u201d in the town of Kubrat, and Professional Vocational High School \u201cS\u00e1ndor Pet\u0151fi\u201d in Razgrad.<\/span><\/p>\n
